I'm Marissa, a luxury cruise advisor for travelers who want Regent Seven Seas, Silversea, Explora Journeys, Oceania, Seabourn, the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, and top-tier suites across every major line. Quick Answer

A luxury cruise advisor books Regent Seven Seas, Silversea, Explora Journeys, Oceania, Seabourn, and the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection at the same fare as booking direct, while adding advisor-only perks like shipboard credit, prepaid gratuities, and private car transfers, all free.

Why work with a luxury cruise advisor

Luxury cruises reward advisor use most because cabin categories are more nuanced and advisor perks like shipboard credit stack on top of the fare.

    Personal cruising experience

Luxury cruises are the category where using an advisor pays off the most. The fares are higher, the categories are more nuanced (Concierge Suite vs. Penthouse vs. Owner's), the perks stack (advisor amenity + line promotion + past-guest offer), and the wrong cabin category on a 12-night Mediterranean sailing costs thousands more than a wrong pick on a 3-night Bahamas trip.

I do this for free. You pay the same fare the cruise line publishes, often less once I layer in current promotions, and you gain shipboard credit, prepaid gratuities, private car transfers, or a pre-cruise hotel night depending on the line and cabin category.

The luxury cruise lines I book most

I book Regent, Silversea, Explora Journeys, Oceania, Seabourn, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Celebrity Retreat, Virgin Mega RockStar, and Royal Caribbean Star Class most.

    Regent Seven Seas Cruises

The most-inclusive luxury line at sea. Business-class air, unlimited shore excursions, all beverages including premium spirits, specialty dining, gratuities, Wi-Fi, and a pre-cruise hotel night on longer sailings, all included in the fare. Best fit for travelers who want zero decisions after booking. Seven Seas Splendor, Explorer, and Grandeur are the flagships.

    Silversea Cruises

Ultra-luxury small ships with butler service in every suite. Door-to-door service (including private car transfers and international flights) on select fares. The expedition fleet, Silver Endeavour, Silver Cloud, and Silver Wind, unlocks Antarctica, the Galapagos, and the Arctic in genuine luxury.

    Explora Journeys

MSC's luxury brand, launched 2023. Modern design, all-suite ships (Explora I and Explora II), longer port stays, and a fresh take on premium cruising. Best value in the ultra-luxury category right now, and I've watched pricing move quickly as they build the fleet through 2027.

    Oceania Cruises

Premium-plus, not quite ultra-luxury, but with the best food at sea by most rankings. The Vista and Allura (2025) are their newest ships. Simply MORE fare includes shore excursions, drinks, and Wi-Fi. A great step up for travelers who love Celebrity or Princess and want a smaller, more refined ship.

    Seabourn

All-suite, all-inclusive, small-ship luxury. Roughly 450 to 600 guests per ship. Complimentary caviar service, in-suite bars stocked with your preferences, and a crew-to-guest ratio close to 1:1. Best for couples who want quiet elegance over resort-style entertainment.

    Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection

The most exclusive of the group. Just 149 to 226 suites per yacht. Evrima, Ilma, and Luminara are essentially private yachts with the Ritz service standard applied to sea travel. Best for travelers who already know Ritz-Carlton hotels and want the same experience at sea.

    Celebrity Retreat (Suite Class)

Not a separate line, but a ship-within-a-ship on every Celebrity vessel. Private restaurant (Luminae), private lounge (Retreat Lounge), private sundeck, dedicated butler, and premium beverage and Wi-Fi packages. Best for luxury travelers who want mainstream ship options and destinations at a lower entry price than Regent or Silversea.

    Virgin Voyages Mega RockStar Suites

Adults-only, design-forward luxury at sea. Mega RockStar Suites come with a personal Rockstar Agent, dedicated restaurant seating, premium beverages, unlimited Wi-Fi, and access to Richard's Rooftop. Best for style-driven couples in their 30s to 50s who want luxury without the traditional cruise aesthetic.

Royal Caribbean Star Class & Sky Class

Star Class on Icon, Wonder, Symphony, Oasis, and Allure is genuine luxury: Royal Genie service, unlimited specialty dining and beverages, priority everything. It's how you do a mega-ship in true luxury. Read the full Royal Caribbean advisor page.

How luxury cruise advisor perks actually stack

Three layers stack on the same base fare: the cruise line's public promotion, an advisor amenity worth $200 to $1,500, and your past-guest loyalty perks.

On a luxury booking, three layers of perks stack on top of the same base fare:

    1. The cruise line's public promotion. Regent 2-for-1 fares, Silversea's Door-to-Door bonus, Oceania's OLife Choice, Celebrity's Always Included, etc. Same for you whether you book direct or through an advisor.
    2. Advisor amenity. This is what I add. Depending on line and category: $200 to $1,500 in shipboard credit, prepaid gratuities, a specialty dining night, a spa credit, or a pre-cruise hotel night. These come from my consortium partnerships and are not available booking direct.
    3. Past-guest and loyalty perks. If you've sailed the line before, we layer in your loyalty benefits on top. Regent Seven Seas Society, Silversea Venetian Society, Oceania Club, Celebrity Captain's Club Elite Plus and Zenith, etc.

Most travelers don't realize layer 2 exists. It's the single biggest reason to book luxury through an advisor.

How much does a luxury cruise actually cost?

A 7-night sailing in a base suite runs roughly $3,000 on Oceania up to $18,000+ on the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

Rough entry points for a 7-night Caribbean or Mediterranean sailing, per person, double occupancy, in a base suite category:

    • Oceania: $3,000 to $5,500
    • Explora Journeys: $4,500 to $7,000
    • Celebrity Retreat: $4,000 to $8,000
    • Silversea: $6,000 to $10,000
    • Seabourn: $6,500 to $10,500
    • Regent Seven Seas: $7,500 to $13,000 (business-class air often included)
    • Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection: $9,000 to $18,000+
    • Royal Caribbean Star Class: $8,000 to $25,000+ depending on suite and ship

These are moving targets. Longer sailings (12+ nights), higher suite categories, and peak dates (Christmas, New Year's, summer Mediterranean) push these higher. Repositioning sailings and shoulder-season Caribbean can push them meaningfully lower.

Send me your dates and preferences and I'll come back with real numbers for your party, not a range.

All-inclusive luxury vs. premium with add-ons

Fully all-inclusive lines like Regent and Silversea can leave your onboard bill at $0, while premium lines like Oceania still charge for some extras.

The word "luxury" spans a huge range at sea. The clearest way to sort it:

Fully all-inclusive (Regent, Silversea, Seabourn, Explora, Ritz-Carlton Yacht): the fare includes drinks, gratuities, Wi-Fi, specialty dining, and usually shore excursions. Some include air. Your onboard bill at the end of the sailing can genuinely be $0.

Premium with inclusions (Oceania Simply MORE, Celebrity Retreat, Virgin Mega RockStar): beverages, Wi-Fi, and gratuities are included at the fare you book. Shore excursions and select premium restaurants may still be extra.

Mainstream in a luxury suite (Royal Caribbean Star Class, Norwegian Haven, MSC Yacht Club): ship-within-a-ship luxury on a large ship. You get the private restaurant, private sundeck, butler, priority boarding, and premium packages, but the ship itself is still a resort-style mega-ship.

Which one is right depends less on budget and more on how you want to spend the week. I'll walk you through the tradeoffs.

Best luxury cruise destinations in 2026 and 2027

The Mediterranean in May, June, and September is where Regent, Silversea, Explora, and Oceania field their strongest itineraries.

    • Mediterranean (May, June, September): Regent, Silversea, Explora, and Oceania all field their strongest itineraries here. Overnight stays in Venice, Istanbul, and Monaco are where luxury lines shine.
    • Northern Europe and Baltic (June to August): Silversea and Regent for the small-ship advantage in Norwegian fjords and Iceland. Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection now sails these routes as well.
    • Alaska (May to September): Regent, Silversea, Seabourn, and Oceania all have strong Alaska seasons. Celebrity Retreat is the best value luxury option here.
    • Caribbean and Bahamas (November to April): Great use of Explora, Oceania, and Ritz-Carlton Yacht itineraries when the Med is closed. Shorter sailings, smaller ports, and a genuine winter escape.
    • Expedition (Antarctica, Galapagos, Arctic): Silversea's Silver Endeavour, Seabourn Venture and Pursuit, and Scenic Eclipse are the true luxury expedition options.
    • World cruises and Grand Voyages: Regent, Silversea, Oceania, and Cunard run genuine world sailings ranging from 100 to 180+ nights. These sell out 18 to 24 months in advance and are almost always best booked through an advisor.

How the luxury booking process works

You send a starting point, I return 2 to 3 curated options within 24 hours, and I manage the booking end to end.

    1. You send me a starting point. Even loose is fine: "Mediterranean, September, two weeks, want it all-inclusive." The quote form takes two minutes.
    2. I send back 2 to 3 curated options. Different lines, sail dates, or suite categories with promotions and advisor amenity layered in. Usually within a few hours, almost always within 24.
    3. You pick. I book. I lock the suite, secure specialty dining, arrange private car transfers, and coordinate any pre or post-cruise hotel nights.
    4. I manage the booking end-to-end. Price monitoring, category upgrades if they open up, air deviations, dining reservations, shore excursion sales, final payment reminders.
    5. I'm reachable while you're at sea. Text me for anything from a missed transfer to a spa reservation.

Already have a luxury cruise booked direct? You can transfer it.

Most luxury lines let you transfer an existing reservation within 30 to 60 days of booking, before final payment, at no cost to you.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is a luxury cruise advisor?

A luxury cruise advisor is a travel professional who specializes in ultra-luxury and premium cruise lines like Regent Seven Seas, Silversea, Explora Journeys, Oceania, Seabourn, and the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, plus top-tier suite classes across mainstream lines. A good luxury advisor books at no cost to you, layers in advisor-only perks like shipboard credit and pre-cruise hotel nights, and handles the details, from air deviations to private car transfers.

Does a luxury cruise advisor cost extra?

No. Luxury cruise lines pay advisor commissions from the same fare you'd pay booking direct. Booking with an advisor typically costs less, because the advisor layers in shipboard credit, prepaid gratuities, or a specialty dining amenity that isn't available direct.

Which luxury cruise line is the most all-inclusive?

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is the most-inclusive luxury line at sea. The fare includes business-class air on most international sailings, unlimited shore excursions, all beverages including premium spirits, specialty dining, gratuities, Wi-Fi, and a pre-cruise hotel night on longer sailings. Silversea, Seabourn, Explora Journeys, and the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection are also fully inclusive of drinks, gratuities, and Wi-Fi, but include shore excursions and air more selectively.

How much does a luxury cruise cost per person?

For a 7-night sailing in a base suite, expect roughly $3,000 to $5,500 on Oceania, $4,000 to $8,000 on Celebrity Retreat, $4,500 to $7,000 on Explora Journeys, $6,000 to $10,000 on Silversea and Seabourn, $7,500 to $13,000 on Regent (often including business-class air), and $9,000 and up on the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Longer sailings, higher suite categories, and peak dates push these higher.

    Is Oceania considered luxury?

Oceania is best described as premium-plus rather than ultra-luxury. It has the highest food ratings at sea, smaller ships, and inclusive Simply MORE fares, but it doesn't include shore excursions or business-class air the way Regent does. It's a great fit for travelers moving up from Celebrity or Princess who want a more refined ship without the ultra-luxury price tag.

    What is Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection?

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection operates three small luxury yachts (Evrima, Ilma, and Luminara) with 149 to 226 suites each. It brings the Ritz-Carlton hotel service standard to sea, with private balconies on every suite, restaurants curated by celebrity chefs, and yacht-style itineraries that reach smaller ports the big luxury ships can't. It's the most exclusive of the current luxury cruise operators.

Which luxury cruise line is best for a first luxury cruise?

For a first luxury cruise, Explora Journeys and Oceania offer the easiest entry: modern ships, strong food, and inclusive fares without ultra-luxury pricing. If you want fully all-inclusive from your first sailing, Regent Seven Seas removes every decision, business-class air, shore excursions, drinks, and gratuities all included, so you can experience true luxury cruising without add-ons.
